The Italian Tour Web Copy


The website copy I wrote for The Italian Tour, a small travel agency in Virginia, is a demonstration of my chameleon-like adaptivity as a copywriter.

It's written from the perspective of a person who's very well traveled... Someone I am definitely not. Don't get me wrong. The thought of traveling to new places excites me as much as the next guy. As a matter of fact, Italy happens to be on my bucket list.

But it's a very short bucket list. I'm the vacationer who's satisfied with an occasional trip to the Caribbean, not the cosmopolitan adventurer who debates with you about the best vineyard in the south of France.

Even so, the voice I gave The Italian Tour is a convincing impersonation of that guy (or girl). Of course it is. The ability to speak to anyone — to be anyone — is what being a copywriter is all about.
